Isabel Chua

Isabel is a registered psychologist with the Allied Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has a warm and approachable personality and uses a client-centred model. Isabel will collaborate with you to understand and work through your difficulties. Isabel has experience with a range of issues across the lifespan and can adapt to children and adults clients from different cultural and social backgrounds.

Before becoming a Psychologist, Isabel worked as a music therapist and therapist for many years in hospitals (oncology, palliative care, neurology, geriatric-psychiatry) and in the NDIS sector.

Isabel provides psychological assessments to help individuals with cognitive, social-emotional-behavioural and executive functioning difficulties. Isabel draws from evidence-based interventions such as CBT, Mindfulness Therapy, Guided Imagery, ACT and Solution-Focused Therapy. Her interest areas include but are not limited to:

  • Self-esteem issues

  • General health and wellbeing

  • Anxiety

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Depression

  • Grief and Loss

  • Stress management

  • Emotional dysregulation

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Parenting concerns

In her spare time, Isabel enjoys swimming, going to the beach, and playing instruments such as the piano and African drums. She finds these activities therapeutic and relaxing. Isabel looks forward to connecting with you and being part of your unique therapeutic journey!
